Really? Road slipperiness? That's the technical term?
Usually I take Wikipedia as the word of the divine whats-his/her-face, because so does Google because Google uses Wikipedia to fill out that little information field at the side of your search results and well Google is basically the universe but simplified and with added lightness and faster search times... but I'm really having trouble buying this one.
A very slippery road for your time:

driving on snow and ice is the only thing that makes living in Northern Wi tolerable from December to March, or November to early May depending on how much Winter decides to be an asshole.

Wikipedia is like a smart, precocious 9 year old. Most of the time you're awed they know so much, but sometimes they just spout bullshit
Also as a former wiki vandal, you can get anything to stay on there for months as a fact. Make a website and type up some crap. Make another website that references the first. Cite the second in your Wikipedia vandalism. It won't get pulled for a very long time. Did you know, for example, that Wikipedia at one point stated only black and white cows produced milk? It was up for about 9 months.
